TITLE: Crop View (Day 17 of the 100 Day Series)

ABOUT: This special piece was made during my "100 Day project" which began February 1, 2019 and ended in mid May. I needle felted one landscape per day for 100 days, all featuring scenes inspired by the state of South Carolina, and the entire collection was on display as part of the "Fiber, Paper, Scissors" exhibition at Greenville Center for Creative Arts in the summer of 2019. PROCESS: The landscape painting was created entirely from needle felted wool fiber. Layers and layers of dyed roving are matted down with a barbed felting needle, bringing this textured 2D piece to life. A wood frame holds the piece, and hanging hardware is installed on the back. This signed and dated piece is one-of-a-kind.

CUSTOM ORDERS: I do accept a limited number of commissions each month, so if you'd like a custom landscape made from your photo or of a specific scene, please contact me to discuss the details. These typically run $2 per square inch, depending on complexity.
